Duur:4 jaar
Toelatingseisen:
Beschrijving:‘Entrepreneurship for Developing Areas’ 'is a specialized three-year Bachelor’s program in International Business and Management Studies (IBMS), focusing on economic and social business solutions for developing areas and emerging markets. This unique program aims to provide a top level education in business studies to talented students from developing areas and emerging markets, as well as to students from EU countries that have finished a high level of secondary school, verified by an intake assessment.

Socially Responsible Business
If you are interested in doing socially responsible business with a strong international orientation, the Entrepreneurship for Developing Areas program may be exactly what you are looking for. The main objective of this bachelor program, which is entirely in English, is to enable students to act as responsible business managers and entrepreneurs, thereby contributing to sustainable development in emerging markets. In addition, there are various research and work experience projects in close cooperation with other talented young people from all parts of the world. Some of these talented students from developing areas that are unable to enter higher education without financial support receive fellowships from the Kofi Annan Business School Foundation, of which Hogeschool Utrecht is one of the founding partners.

International framework
To be able to succeed in the program you must be flexible and not afraid of hard work. It is essential that you show understanding and respect for the different cultures with which you will work in order to establish a partnership for development, so as to support the UN Millennium Development Goals. As such, you will be an ‘ambassador’ for this specialist discipline, at the vanguard of socio-economic development during the decades to come.
At Hogeschool Utrecht, the students will receive an excellent business education and the chance to build an international network. Operating within a global partnership for development, this program brings together talented young people from all parts of the world. The lecturers themselves also have extensive international experience and regular guest lectures by consultants and businessmen with first hand experience from the emerging markets are organized.

The curriculum
To promote sustainable development, a key element of the overall program Entrepreneurship for Developing Areas is its focus on entrepreneurship, international competitiveness and trade, and corporate social responsibility. The curriculum offers a total of 12 modules (4 periods of 10 weeks a year), which all have a specific theme.
